CommentsGreat job! Rocky, I'll send you some of my favorite Catholic web links.
It would be nice to add more photos to the site. I have shots of first communicants that might be nice on the sacramental preparation page. I am sure others have RCIA photos, parish picnic photos, Jamaica photos, Youth Group activity shots and more.
Another future idea - posting of lector and altar server schedules, maybe? PDF reprints of past bulletins? The possibilities are limitless.
Thanks for the hard work. This will be nice for our parish.

CommentsMembers of our parish Altar Society, St. Paul Parish , San Antonio, TX, will be making a trip to the Vatican Exhibit on the 14th-15th and thanks to your well illustrated site, I could propose that our group plan on taking in a liturgy the vigil of the Assumption. I am especially interested to see how your remodeling reflects the conformity with Vatican II. I think this is what I read about in your parish history. We are also aware of the celebrations to take place at John
Newman, however, we will be returning to SA on the 15th and we hope that Our Lady guards us both going and coming to Lubbock. There are about 25 of us
traveling to your neck of the woods. Respectfully, Irma Cardenas, President of St. Paul Altar Society.

CommentsI was born in amarillo in 1956, and we moved to lubbock in the late 50's. My older bro. and sis. were most likely one of the schools first students while it was also the first memories that I have about going to mass. During the early 60's my parents moved us to Puerto Rico. In the late 90's I returned to the state of Texas, and I am living in Greenville. I would like to go and visit the school and church sometime and remember old times. My family's name is Soler, if you have any records about that period, my brother's name is Anthony, or Tony, and my sister's name is Evelyn.
I am looking forward to visit your church in the following weeks.
Thank you for your time

CommentsMy name is Jim Carlton and I attended Christ the King grade school in the mid 1960s. I was known as Jimmy Carlton, and my friends included Pat Maher and Barry Burns. If anyone from that era sees this and would like to touch base with me, my email is: jim.carlton@wsj.com. I now live in San Francisco, work as a writer for the Wall Street JOurnal and have a wife and two young boys. Lots of memories of Lubbuck and Christ the King.

CommentsRocky, is there an alumni list somewhere that has names and addresses of Christ the King students from the 60s? I'd love to find out what happened to my old classmates. Your web site is great. Really brings back memories, especially seeing the photo of the school which looks almost identical to when I was going to classes there in the 60s. Thanks, Jim (jim.carlton@wsj.com)
