Current adult faith formation opportunities include the following:
Adult Scripture Study
During the school year, Jeannette Hardin facilitates scripture study every Sunday at 11 a.m. in the Monsignor Comiskey Room of the Parish Family Center. Materials are $6. Bring your bible and join us! For more information contact Jeanette at 797-4550.
RCIA Mystagogy (for more information and calendar of events, click link at left)
This is an important period of reflection by the newly initiated with the parish community. The formation and teaching continues during this time, in order to help the neophytes become incorporated into the full life of the Christian community.
It is important to note that the fourth stage may be the end or final stage of the RCIA process, but it is only the first stage of the rest of their lives as a fully active and participating member of the Catholic Church.
RCIA Mystagogy meets the second Tuesday of each month.
A Study of the New Testament Letters of Saint Paul
On Sundays following the 9:15 Mass beginning January 20, Eben Emerson will lead a study of the New Testament letters of Saint Paul in the Kasteel Hall in the Family Activity Center. This study will introduce the Apostle Paul, the primary message of His letters and apply the lessons in the letters in a practical and faithful manner. If you would like to deepen your Biblical knowledge and learn to live our wonderful faith in a relevant and practical way please attend. If you have any questions contact Eben at ebenemerson@gmail.com or 777-1879.
Spiritual Direction
Do you have a desire to deepen your relationship with the Lord through spiritual direction? Spiritual direction is a "gathering together" of two in the name of Jesus, the spiritual director and the directee, to help the directee develop a closer relationship with God and better discern how the Holy Spirit is leading their life. Several parishioners from Christ the King Cathedral are trained in spiritual direction and are available to anyone seeking a closer relationship with the Lord. For more information contact Charlotte Amato at 792-6168.
As the Cathedral of the Diocese of Lubbock we wholeheartedly support opportunities for our members to take part in spirituality and faith formation classes, worshops, retreats and events that take place in other parishes, at our retreat centers and in the convents of our religious orders. When possible, we will promote those in our bulletin and on this site.
